Schedule of Evening:
5 PM - Doors Open
5:00-5:45- Ticket Sales for the Claiming Race
Six people will be selected to participate in a shortened version of the Derby (Claiming Race).
6:00 - Claiming Race is Run
The winning horse of the Claiming Race will move on to the Double D Derby
5:45-7:00 - Tickets sold for an Automatic Derby Entry
7:00– Drawing for the Automatic Derby Entry
The winning ticket drawn will automatically win a horse to run in in the Double D Derby
8:00– Live auction for the last four horses begin
Gather a group, form your syndicate and combine your funds for the bidding
9-9:45 - Horse owners will name their horse and select their jockey
9-9:45 Wagering is available for the Derby
10:00 - Jockeys take their horses and parade from the paddock to the track and the singing of “Back Home Again in Indiana”
10:15 – Horses at Post, Running of the Double D Derby
10:30- ?? Presentation of the Roses and the “Purse” to the winner, Drinks and Dancing
